The Exhumation of Salvador Dali

R&D project

Is there anyone we owe the truth to? When does it become too late to correct a lie? How much can we trust anything that happens in the public eye?

The Exhumation of Salvador Dali was an R&D project to explore different ways of creating work from a set source material, and ideas of flexible working in the making process.

As part of this project, I put together the thoughts we had around this sort of accessibility in the making process which you can access here.

The project was completed using public funding from Arts Council England, and supported by Theatre in the Mill (Bradford), Unity Theatre (Liverpool), Z-arts (Manchester), and The Hope Theatre (London).

By the end of the project, I had decided that the subject matter was not something I wanted to work with any more, but thanks to open exploration of themes and creative practices in the room, I had a clear idea of what I wanted to do moving forwards (stay tuned!)

Team

This was a collaborative process, so there were no set roles (apart from the producer role). Everyone brought different expertise to the room and was an absolute dream to work with.
